I’m Alison, a Plattsburgh mom of two little boys and the person behind Peeka Buckle. With two little ones of my own, I know how quickly snack crumbs, spills, and everyday messes find their way into a car seat. I started this business to give other local families a little help with a job that takes real time and care.
To me, a car seat is much more than something to get clean—it helps protect someone’s child. I take that responsibility seriously. Cleaning a car seat is detailed, patient work: I follow the manufacturer’s manual for each specific model, including its instructions for cleaning, drying, and reassembly. I use only the products and methods the manufacturer permits, and I won’t rush the drying process just to meet a pickup time.
A small local business in the City of Plattsburgh, inspired by my own family and built around big care for little passengers.
Have a question about your seat or your booking?
Let’s talk.
Choose your intake date, seat types, quantities, and handoff option, then pay through Square. No arrival-time appointment is needed. Four car seats are available per date across all services. Each seat uses one place.
Home drop-off is free between 5–7 p.m. on your intake date, with a firm 7 p.m. cutoff. Your return day is two mornings later: Monday intake means Wednesday return. Once your seat is confirmed ready, free home collection is available between 9 a.m.–7 p.m. that day. Our exact address is included in your confirmation after successful payment. Seats are kept in a covered, dry collection area. We’ll contact you if your model needs extra drying time.
Collection is between 5–7 p.m. on the intake date. Return delivery is between 9–10 a.m., two mornings later. The $25 or $45 fee includes both journeys and is charged once per order. Enter your pickup and return address at booking. We check the driving route and calculate your fee before payment; addresses beyond 10 driving miles are not eligible for delivery.
Full payment is required online through Square to confirm your cleaning date. Card details are entered on Square’s secure checkout. An unpaid checkout temporarily holds capacity but does not confirm a booking.
I follow the manufacturer’s manual for your specific seat, including which parts may be removed, which cleaning products and methods are permitted, and how everything must be dried and reassembled. Please provide the seat brand and model when booking. This is careful, detailed work, and I’ll contact you if your seat needs extra drying time. Cleaning is not a safety inspection or installation service.
No. Peeka Buckle does not accept or clean expired car seats or bases. Please check your seat’s expiration information before booking. If you cannot find it, contact the manufacturer with the model number and date of manufacture. If I discover that a seat or base is expired, I will stop and contact you.
If I notice a crack or other structural damage to the seat’s shell or base, I will stop cleaning immediately and let you know. A seat or base with structural cracks or damage must be taken out of use; contact the manufacturer for replacement guidance. Cleaning cannot repair structural damage or make an expired seat safe to use.
Some stains, odors, discoloration, and signs of wear may remain. Please describe significant spills, damage, or concerns in your booking notes.
Contact Alison about strollers and other baby gear before booking. Availability, care requirements, prices, and turnaround may differ from car seat cleaning.
Choose your service, reserve a date, and pay online. Then leave the handoff details to a real local mom who gets it.
